Born in Aichi prefecture, Japan, in 1974, Kanae Sato is an illustrator currently living in Tokyo.
After working for a printing company as a production planner and website designer, learned about illustrations at Aoyama-Juku. She started her carrier as a freelance illustrator in 2010.
Her impressive illustration style of simple and cute is applied to various products such as publications, advertisements, character designs, websites, product packages, and mundane things.
She creates illustrations for both domestic and abroad projects and is also covering a broad range of activities, e.g., producing original art works, exhibitions at galleries, and participation in various events.

2015 Her work used for an advertisement of MuseumsQuartier Wien received Silver Venus award of Creativ Club Austria in illustration category as the creative advertisement of the year.
