Hanyu Miki

Miki is a freelance illustrator based in Japan. She’s known for her simple, playful style and loves working with bright colors. Her inspiration comes from fashion, nature, and everyday moments. She mainly works digitally using Procreate, but lately she’s been enjoying experimenting with analog drawings too.

Born and raised in Japan, Miki has taken a unique career path. She studied Japanese linguistics in Japan and later art facilitation in Sweden. After graduating, she worked as a Japanese teacher, journalist, and in various administrative roles. She also previously worked as a project lead at Google Japan.

In 2021, Miki decided to follow her true passion and become a full-time illustrator. She’s loved drawing and painting since she was a child. When she’s not working, she’s also a mom to two kids.
