Inubou Toho

Born in Tokyo, Japan. Now living in The Hague, the Netherlands.
In 2021, I received an Honorable Mention at the Tokyo Book Cover Illustration Award.
In 2024, I received the Albireo Grand Prize at HB WORK vol.5.

After about six years working as a textile designer, I left my job and moved abroad on my own. Lived in Canada, then Portugal, and eventually settled in a beachside city in the Netherlands. I now divide my time between illustration work and helping run a tiny coffeshop with my partner.
My work includes illustration, picture books, and personal animation projects.
I also run a small online shop selling vintage objects, something I have always loved.

I try to draw moments that stay.
