Advertisement illustration in women's magazine for a cosmetic brand targeting middle-aged women. The client's request was embroidered Japanese map associated the word "young, vivid, urban, luxurious and sophisticated". I chose a blueish pink thread as the main color for "young and vivid", levitating embroidery* as a technique for "luxurious and urban", and antique gems for "sophisticated". *Levitating embroidery is a coined word I thought of, for an embroidery technique. The embroidered object looks levitating on translucent fabric with shadow.
