Moriya Reiko

Based on the idea of ​​depicting invisible beauty, he creates colorful works that utilize intuitive strokes (touches) and delicate sensibilities.

I create works with themes of women's freedom, strength, and coexistence with nature, and I want to create a world that soothes the hearts of the viewers.

Mainly uses acrylic paint and gouache.

He is active in a wide range of genres, including advertising, magazines, books, and newspapers.

 

His main works include illustrations for Mitsuyo Kakuta's newspaper serial novel "Kami no Tsuki" (200 chapters in total), and Nejime Shoichi's newspaper serial novel "Mu-san no Senaka" (244 chapters in total).

Illustrations for Toshiyuki Horie's essay series in the magazine "Geijutsu Shincho" (2013-present) (Shinchosha), and illustrations for Ito Ogawa's essay series "Suteki ni Handmade" (NHK Publishing), among many others.

Book cover illustrations include "Atsu-atsu o wa te ga dere" (Ogawa Ito) (Shinchosha), and "Kabbage" (Ishii Mutsumi) (Kodansha).

Corporate advertising includes posters, pamphlets, etc. CD jacket for JUJU's "YOU/Be Loved."

Award 

Winner of the Grand Prize at the HB File Competition Vol. 17 (Ryuji Fujieda Award), selected for the TIS public competition (Special Jury Award and Nisuke Shimotani Award), and selected for American Illustration 2008.
