The NED is a former bank hotel in London. I illustrated Baked Alaska for an article in The Ned newspaper (8th issue), which is published and distributed every quarter. This cake, served at The Parlour in the hotel, is made by covering ice cream with meringue and finishing with a torch burner. In the article, the pastry chef also explains the recipe in detail.
