PROFILE

Yuka Hiiragi is an illustrator and poet living in Yokohama, Japan.

After graduating from Hosei University with a degree in sociology, she worked as a nursery school teacher and created educational materials for children before starting her career as a freelance illustrator and poet.

She has provided illustrations for book covers, sweets packages, stationery, textiles, and more. 

Her motto is "Form the invisible and deliver it to someone". She challenges herself every day to capture the small glimpses of light in our daily lives and deliver them to those who need them.

She has provided illustrations for book covers, sweets packages, stationery, textiles, and more. 

She has also published a book, "Flowers and Words," a collection of drawings and words she wrote for people after hearing their stories via e-mail, which she started in the aftermath of the Corona disaster. She has had numerous solo exhibitions in Japan and other Asian countries.

Her motto is "Form the invisible and deliver it to someone". She challenges herself every day to capture the small glimpses of light in our daily lives and deliver them to those who need them.
