I painted the cover art for the November 2024 issue of Record Collectors, featuring “The 100 Best Blue Note Albums”. This time I drew The Ornette Coleman Trio “At The ”Golden Circle“ Stockhol, - Volume One”, Art Blakey “A Night At Birdland, Vol. 1”, and John Coltrane as the subjects. The exclamation mark "! is used on many of Blue Note's best-known albums, so I was determined to use this exclamation mark for this project. This time, I used the exclamation mark to resemble the black keys of a piano. I wanted to use as few colors as possible and create a cool screen in terms of temperature, but I think it worked out surprisingly well. I am quite pleased with the result.
