This work was exhibited at the "Spring is Full" exhibition at the main Aoyama Book Center. It is a scene from the Roppongi Kabuki play "Chikyunagegoroucyunoaragoto" that I went to see the other day, and I painted it only from memory. I have always loved "kigurumi," ordinary, nameless (not yuru-kyara), stuffed toys worn by people that appear at local festivals and in the "Soramimi Hour" corner of the TV variety show "Tamori Club. During my job search, I once wanted to work for a company that made such things (I never found one in the end). The stuffed animals in this program were my favorite type, and I was instantly captivated by their sudden appearance.
