Poster exhibition invitation from Iran (Thank you Mina Kavian ) The theme is Nowruze, is the Iranian New Year, also known as the Persian New Year, which is celebratedworldwide byvarious ethno-linguistic groups usually on or around March 21 on the Gregorian calendar. Nowruz has Iranian and Zoroastrian origins; however, it has been celebrated by diverse communities for over 3,000 yearsin Western Asia, Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Black Sea Basin, the Balkans, and South Asia. It is a secular holiday for most celebrants that isenjoyed by people of several different faiths, but remains a holy day for Zoroastrians, and some Muslim communities. A poster has motives of this festival such as Haft-sin, a table which is decorated with 7 "S" good fortune meals. Sabzeh (سبزه) – wheat, barley, mung bean, or lentil sprouts grown in a dish. Samanu (سمنو) – wheat germ sweet pudding. Senjed (سنجد) – Oleaster Serkeh (سرکه) – vinegar. Seeb (سیب) – apple. Seer (سیر) – garlic. Somāq (سماق) – sumac. Bon fires for purification. Then I added some images I found online photos like a huge dolls with Arabic costume, Decorations for camels, long horns. Technique is Adobe fresco oil painting mode.
