This was a job to draw a legendary waka poem on Japanese paper. The editor's order was to "make it fun and cute," so we exchanged ideas, making use of the editor's "Avengers" parody, but keeping in mind the readership and the elegance of the work. As a result, we ended up drawing Washi in a single stroke, holding our breath. Although some of the pictures were synthesized on a PC, I think we did a good job, especially now that NHK's historical drama "Hikaru Kimi e" is exploding.
